This video isn't the greatest quality because it was taken on my phone, but I wanted to capture this. We went to Redlands last weekend for our newphew Axton's blessing in church. Kirk started flipping one of the nieces or nephews on his knees and soon enough all the nieces and nephews that were there started lining up for a turn. It was cute.

Time Flies
Today is our 1 year anniversary! It's weird how it seems to have gone by super fast, yet at the same time it seems like it's been longer than a year.
I surprised Kirk with a day trip to Catalina yesterday. We rode bikes all over town, went snorkeling, ate a bunch of great food, saw the sites, etc. I was SO excited for my underwater camera and all the fish pictures, but the camera leaked, and on top of that my hopes that they would still maybe be okay were dashed when the camera wouldn't rewind the film so it all got ruined. Sad.
But other than that it was a fun day.

Fun in the sun
I can't even count the number of times that I have thought to myself, or even said outloud, "My husband is such a little boy." But now I know at least he is not the only one.
We went to the beach yesterday with 3 other couples from our ward. Towards the end of the day they started playing in the sand and ended up building a mini-ramp and pit for imaginary dirt bikes to jump across. Then they got into a debate about how big the imaginary bike and driver were, so they could further debate whether or not he would be able to make it across the pit. Luckily they were able to test it out when someone remembered they had a couple of smash balls. It was hilarious watching them trying to find the right angle and speed to send the ball over the ramp and land "safely." Somehow the game switched to a strange form of baseball somewhere in the middle, and by the end the boys (age 26-30) were taking turns running and jumping on to a mound of dirt, seeing who could get the most style points for destroying the mound. Try to imagine Kirk, looking as serious as an olympic sprinter, backing up about 30 feet and then sprinting towards the mound of dirt. Again, HILARIOUS. The best part was the crowd that formed. There was this couple behind us (under the blue canopy) who were laughing probably as hard as we were, and the guy kept giving the boys pointers on how to destroy the mound of dirt more efficiently. =)
